Polk County Health Department Language Line
The Polk County Health Department has a call center specifically dedicated to providing assistance to individuals 65 and older who do not have the ability to access internet or a computer to set up a COVID-19 vaccine appointment. Our call center team is able to work with individuals who do not speak English.
This is the process that non-English speaking 65+ residents have to follow when they want to contact our call center:
- Dial (515) 323-5221
- Indicate the following:
- Language
- Name
- Phone number
- Caller is notified that Call Center will call back using language line.
- Call ends
- Call Center calls back resident to the indicated phone number
- An interpreter (speaking the indicated language) will be on the line to assist with the call.
