June 2024 Lunch & Learn: Mitigation & Adaptation Planning For Communities & Climate

Allison Riley has been involved in the planning process for Polk County’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan during its 2019 and 2024 updates.

She is also leading a climate mitigation and adaptation planning process across 7 Central Iowa counties.

From larger-scale, community level actions such as building retrofitting, infill development, and producing clean energy for the grid, to individual actions like home energy efficiency improvement, choosing low emission transportation options, rainscaping, and more, there are solutions to make a difference.

Bring your lunch and learn about projects and possibilities that are, or could be a part of these plans, as well as programs and resources available to cities and jurisdictions looking for ways to get an assist toward their future progress.
