When Can I See My Family Member?

To protect the dignity and privacy of those that we serve, the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office cannot allow decedents to be viewed in our office.  After a funeral home is chosen by the family, our office will contact the funeral home to take the decedent into their care.  The funeral home can then make arrangements for viewing.
